My journey with wine began at a tiny Greek restaurant where I got to taste exotic and unique wines being served over flaming cheese and lamb kabobs. Such delicacies as Xinomavro and Assyrtiko got me hooked. From there I got a job at the prestigious Broadmoor hotel in Colorado Springs, CO and started training under a Sommelier at their 5 star, 5 diamond French restaurant. My training ground was Grand Cru Burgundy, first growth Bordeaux and the best wines from all over Europe. I was fascinated by the fact that I could smell the soil, the climate, and even the passion of the winemaker just by sticking my nose in a glass of wine. In 2008 I passed my Certified Sommelier exam (Level 2) through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Since moving to West Michigan, my love for wine has given me opportunities to teach servers and managers how to serve at a five star level. I have had the amazing privilege to serve actors and actresses, politicians and princes, and beautiful people whose eyes light up when they get to experience something new. That sparkle is truly the joy of wine!
My additional adventures include cooking, kayaking, hiking and biking along with my five rambunctious kids.

For me, wine has been an avenue to make connections with people. To hear their stories as we experience something new (and delicious!) together. At the root of all the services we offer is the opportunity to make those connections.
